SLOWLY

Slowly is a play by Howard Barker, produced by Grisedale Sherry Productions.

Howard Barker's writing is poetry and art entwined, to create a universe that cannot be inhabited by what we call: everyday problems and everyday people. The characters and situations are un-relatable. They exist for themselves only and for as long as their speech lasts. They neither wish to save the world nor its history which they themselves often seem to refer to.

Slowly ran for 4 nights at The Crypt of St Pancras Parish Church, an intimate and haunting space originally designed and used for coffin burials from 1822; that will keep you suspended in this raw, atmospheric world. Where else are we more still than in a place of death?
